My older lab loved it and took it to his bedding area. My other lab/shepherd got a hold of it and destroyed it in minutes. It's definitely a training tool, and if you have a chewy pup, I suggest keeping a close watch.

One of my Labs is such an aggressive retriever that she is wearing down her canine teeth prematurely from harder dummies, especially when they get dirty. So, I've decided that perhaps a softer dummy might help. The DT System Soft-Mouth Trainers are indeed a bit softer material than the plastic dummies I've been using. Perhaps the rib pattern might help dog grip the dummy more easily. The DT System dummies are well made, as good or better quality than those I've used for years. No complaints there. Will it help reduce wear on the teeth? No way to tell up front, but it can't hurt.
