How it Works:

Temperament Learning: correction begins at the lowest level and increases to the next level each time your dog barks within 30 seconds of the previous bark. The collar remembers the correction level needed to stop your dog's barking. The next time your dog starts barking, the correction will start at the last/highest level used. The static stimulation level will be reduced 30 seconds after your dog stops barking. Progressive Correction: the correction starts at the lowest level and increases to the next level each time your dog barks within 30 seconds of the previous bark. If your dog doesn't bark again within 30 seconds, the correction will reset to the lowest level. User-Selected: you manually choose the correction level. If your dog barks, the collar will correct him at the level you've selected until he stops barking.

Using the SBC-R NoBark Collar:

Fitting the SBC-R Correctly:

1. Make sure the NoBark collar is off.
2. Start with your dog standing comfortably.
3. Place the collar high on your dog's neck close to the ears.
4. Center the contact points underneath your dog's neck, touching the skin. It is sometimes necessary to trim the hair around the contact points to make sure that contact is consistent.
5. Check the tightness of the NoBark by inserting one finger between the end of a contact point and your dog's neck. The fit should be snug but not constricting.
6. Allow your dog to wear the SBC-R for several minutes, then recheck the fit as your dog becomes more comfortable with the NoBark.

Charging:

1. Align the charging cradle with the charging contacts
2. Push down on the charging cradle until it snaps into place
3. Connect the USB charging cable to an available USB port or use a USB to AC adapter (sold separately)
4. While charging, a battery icon will show on the OLED display
5. Keep the SBC-R in an open, well-ventilated area while charging to prevent overheating
6. When charging is complete the battery charger will automatically shut off
7. Remove the charging cradle from the SBC-R
8. Unplug the charging cable

Great Product

Good robust product. It is a little pricey compared to others but the SBC-R is hands down the best product I've ever used or seen to help correct obsessive barking. The Temperament Training mode is all we have ever used on it and the rechargeable battery makes it easy maintain. If your pup is e-collar conditioned the results are instant and you'll see the change instantly. You should work in short sessions while paying close attention to the pup if they are not conditioned to an e-collar yet. E-collars are not magic. Always make sure you read the instructions, watch any videos on training and use, and consult with an experienced trainer with any training questions.

Great bark collar for dogs to self-manage

A dog trainer recommended this for my anxious dog who barks when others approach our house or property. This collar is great because the training mode adjusts the level to the dog's bark, and the buzz helps him to learn to self-manage in response to his barking rather than me having to use a separate remote to actively manage him. I would highly recommend!

corrects dog even when not barking

I used this collar on my Lab to correct crate barking. She is collar conditioned using a Garmin 550, she works on a #3. She is trained daily so she is used to wearing an e-collar and getting corrections. The bark collar corrected her when she shook her head in addition to when she barked. The collar was set to 1, but it seemed to upset her more than I expected given the low setting. Maybe the random corrections were just too confusing. I returned the collar and replaced it with a Garmin bark limiter from GDS that is working very well. Great customer service! Love doing business with this company. Just didn't love this product.

• Too sensitive to non-barking stimulus. Random corrections make it difficult for the dog to understand why they are being corrected.

I've purchased many bark collars that did not result in controlling bad barking behavior. I purchased three of these collars which were recommended by Steve the founder of this site. I am amazed at how well they work, from day one and the first 10min the dogs learnt to stop barking and now I rarely have to use them. Do yourself and your neighbors a favor and get these collars!

Sure enough, I was able to select the collar best for my dog because of these reviews. Collar works great, and I learned more about how to use it from the GDS review than the actual instruction manual. Great job, and thank you very much! You don't get this level of detail from Cabela's.

The collar has helped reduce the barking but it also hits him every time he shakes which I'm sure confuses him. I'm also surprised how hot it must be for a level one for him to yelp the way that he does. My hunting e collar is a garmin and I run him on a level 4 or 5 and he doesn't yelp, but a subtle twitch of the ear.

Finally some peace

I purchased this no-bark collar for our 4 month-old corgi puppy who was perfect in every way...except for his non-stop barking, when not sleeping. When he was delivered by the ground transporter, the man truly looked frazzled from being confined in the car with the puppy for 2 full days. He had a splitting headache from the non-stop, high pitched barking. My heart went out to him! However, I was unprepared for what lay ahead. It was nothing for this puppy to bark for 4 hours straight! It was mind numbing, to say the least. A friend & trainer recommended your product to me. I ordered it immediately. This collar has the progressive setting which is perfect for my dog. Has good battery life as well. I just wish they had a small light on it so you could easily tell if it was on or off.

Trainer Recommended

We're fortunate enough to have an exceptional training center in our tri-state region, and the trainers there are nationally recognized. One of the trainers has a facility in South Carolina and also trains here in the Midwest. I have a puppy mill Havanese who has a persistent and disturbing sharp bark, and the trainer recommended this training collar as being her "very favorite", explained why. As I had tried other devices with no luck, I decided to order this one, as she knew my dog, his size, and his barking. We are having the most amazing luck with this collar, and in a few short weeks, his barking has noticeably improved on the few occasions when he not wearing the collar. We will continue the training with the collar for several more months, but believe we have found the right match for our favorite pooch. You absolutely must fit the collar properly, as the wrong position and even being just a little bit loose will negate its effectiveness. If your dog barks when wearing the device, it has not been properly fitted.I join my trainer in recommending this collar, and I highly recommend Gun Dog Supply as a vendor. I was more than pleased at how quickly they shipped the device so I could begin using it right away.

I'm a skeptical consumer by nature, but I thought I'd give this collar a try out of desperation to stop the barking. I was shocked at how well it worked IMMEDIATELY! It corrected him a couple of times until he realized what was happening, but after that... he was great! I really liked how it still lets him bark a couple of times, but recorrects him if needed. I would highly recommend this product if you have a barking dog.
