Just what I needed

I bought a replacement battery for my sportdog 1825x training collar. Called GDS because collar only worked for 3 days after I replaced battery. GDS gave me the number to sportdog and said I could get a refund for battery they think it's a collar issue. Kept battery and sent collar to sportdog dog for repair.

I'm getting 2-3 years on these batteries. I run my dog on the beach and in the mountains daily. He retrieves his Chuck-It ball from some big surf, so saltwater immersion has been fine. After changing the gadget I'm not as sure about immersion, my older collar had some mild corrosion. I felt the replacement should have a thicker gasket or silicone. The collar can't rely on a factory fit after lots of use and battery changes.
