I've used a retriever-trainer since they came out in the 80's. Originally the only dummies available were plain canvas, then they started selling ones that were converted fishing net floats. Then the much more expensive molded bird dummies with a loose head. All worked well enough, but this dummy actually adds "wounded bird" motion, which I like. The dogs pay much more attention to it when it is in the air. The bi-color makes it more visible for young dogs. I'd have purchased the camo version for my older dogs but it wasn't available. It does take a higher power load to achieve similar distances to the standard dummies.

Small wings and tails dogs seem to focus on strobes from launch to landing on shorter marks. I add a streamer to the tail for longer marks.

I really like this training dummy and so does my Lab. She marks it easily as the wings flap and make noise while in the air unlike the Dokken dead fowl trainer. The canvas body absorbs and holds added scents well. A great product.

Great launcher dummy. Classic black and white. I love the wings and head. It's gives the look of a real bird fluttering down after the shot as it descends. A great dummy I use for walking singles and diversion birds. I've enjoyed this one.
