Durable and lightweight, Sylmar Leg Tubes are designed to help protect your dog's legs in the field and to help any existing leg injuries heal. The leg tube effectively covers and protects cuts, scrapes, wounds, and bandages. Vets use them to support catheters and prevent damage from chronic licking. Made in the USA.
The fleece lining adds additional comfort and warmth.
Note: Will not withstand chewing.
Specify front or rear leg when ordering. The rear leg tube is cut larger to accommodate the dog's rear leg hock.

"Keeps leg dry, even in 4ft of snow running, jumping, you name it. NEVER fell off or tore, very strong. I bought it to protect an injury. My dog's leg was cut open, 13 stitches, and he's 8 months old. Can't keep a puppy down, and the bags and BS the doctors gave me kept falling off, and he'd chew it to bits. This was perfect. He never chewed it."
Fits perfect. Keeps leg dry, even in 4ft of snow running, jumping, you name it. He never chewed it. I think it was because it was firm enough to protect him, but not choking his leg to death. So it just didn't bother him. He plays rough with other dogs as well as his buddies, and it hasn't been torn off yet. So, GREAT product. I will be purchasing the remaining 3 in the spring for protection. Since we love going to forest preserves, and thats how he cut his leg to begin with, this should do the trick along with boots. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to prevent injury and protect injuries. Thanks so much!!!

My 11 year old 90 pound black lab mix was recovering from a mast cell tumor removal, 3 inch wound, on outer rear leg. During phases of being bandaged and no bandage, we tried multiple methods (plastic bags, sock, other canine leg protectors), all either didn't protect the area, or just fell off, and all were difficult and time consuming to put on and take off of her. The Sylmar tube, large, fit her leg, easy and quick to put on and take off, with Velcro on the side and on top and bottom, stayed in place. Kuma is very active, loves being outdoors, this product gave her independence and me peace of mind knowing the wound was protected. Her incision area has since granulated, quite a scar, but she's doing well.

My dog is older and has started licking the pad on the back of his front leg. Boots cover the pad, but don't allow him to feel the ground. Therefore, he tries to chew them off. The leg protection tube keeps him from licking without restricting his movement. We love it!

I would recommend the sylmar leg tube for any pet with a non-healing leg wound. The tube is worth its weight in gold at bedtime! I no longer jump up at every movement, or feel guilt using the head cone. God bless and keep the Tube inventor. Sincerely, Marie

"I bought this protector for my dog who was healing after two surgeries, and cones were not working well with her. She kept it on, and her wound was able to heal while wearing it."
I bought this protector for my dog who was healing after two surgeries, and cones were not working well with her. She kept it on, and her wound was able to heal while wearing it. Better for us than the cone and bandage, as she had chewed the stitches from her wound twice!

My dog is too big to wear one of those hoods. He injured his dew claw and kept licking it, and now we finally found that this works perfectly. I had caught him licking it, so I inspected to make sure it was dry inside and it was. Finally the problem is solved.

"They have worked perfectly and hold up really well."
My old girl is almost 14 years old, and her back legs are giving out. She sits funny on them causing bed sores. The Sylmar Leg Protectors with fleece protect her legs, so the places can heal. They have worked perfectly and hold up really well. To clean them, I just put them in the regular laundry and dryer.

We have a rescued doberman that has a extreme nervous of licking his legs hips.....etc. We've been trying to get a sore on his leg to heal for almost a year now. We had him at our vet and they recommended a tube that was used for hunting dogs, so we ordered one and the results so far are 5 star even though he has got it of once in the last 3 weeks. This product is the best there is to help with healing our dogs sore on his leg......Thanks for such a great product!

My dog has a leg wound she kept licking for over 8 months. We have used a cone for the longest time, but she could somehow keep licking. Found this product, and it's completely healed. Very high quality.

This was not the product's fault. The large was too small above the elbow and the x-large was too big and would come off while my dog ran. The same thing happened with vet wrap on the ends to secure. My dog has a lick sore that has been impossible to protect on one back leg. I've bought everything imaginable, spent a ridiculous amount of money, and had no success. From e-collars, No-bite collars, leggings, wraps, etc. nothing works. I have not wanted to muzzle him with a wire muzzle. The only thing left is probably a soft muzzle, unless you have an idea. I did have a concern about the Velcro strap at the top of the tube for the back leg. It would move above the tube and create another skin irritation. I used a tube sock under the tube but still was not successful. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Hopefully, my dilemma is an isolated problem.

Appeared to be well built. Used on an injured back leg in an attempt to avoid reopening a wound. Used on one hunt with good success, however lost on the next hunt in greasewood and rabbit brush (dense-tough cover). I cinched up as tight as possible (?). Similar experience with the boot that I bought, lost on second hunt as well.

"We like the fleece lined tubes because they do protect without chafing."
The German Wirehaired Pointer ripped hair and skin from his front legs. He will go into the roughest areas. We like the fleece lined tubes because they do protect without chafing. We returned the unlined (with no problems). However, the first time the tubes were worn, they started falling apart. Even the smallest Setter's came apart. We had to super glue them to make it through the season. I wish the leg and shoulder portions of the canine body suit was lined with fleece. I would prefer to try that but was worried unlined legs would chafe the dogs.

"The tube kept falling off my Brittany as she ran."
I purchased the rear leg sleeve for my Golden who has a fixation on chewing a spot on her rear foot, and while the product is well made for normal wear and tear, I wouldn't recommend it for keeping a dog from licking or chewing their leg or foot. It took my dog only 12 hours to completely destroy the sleeve--she chewed right through the velcro strips first, and when I covered them with athletic tape to solve that problem, she chewed right through the sleeve itself.
I don't blame the product completely--my dog was especially determined to rid herself of the leg sleeve. However, if you intend to use this sleeve to keep your dog from licking or chewing a wound I would recommend covering the velcro straps with athletic tape--the strap is flimsy and very easy for a dog to chew through.
Bottom line--good for light field use, but not as sturdy as advertised.
