I actually purchased this auto waterer for my horse and it works great! Nobody else sells a large size stainless steel automatic waterer. I don't like the plastic ones because algae grows in them. This one works perfect for my horse!!!

Easy to setup and works good. Need a better method for draining sediment etc but no big deal. Dogs use it right away.

This is a high quality stainless water bowl. I would have given this 5 stars but the design isn't ideal for where the mounting holes at the rear of the bowl are in relation to the mounting holes for the top of the float cover. The mounting holes for the cover over the float are not easily accessible from the rear to attach the nuts and bolts when mounted to any sort of wall. Nothing that cannot be worked around with a bit of time and ingenuity, but also not as straight forward of an Install as it could be. With all of that said I still support this product as Made in the USA and would recommend it to anyone.

Best Auto Dog Water Bowl we have found.
February 21, 2022
We just got this bowl (2 actually) and hooked it up, so I'm not certain about longevity yet, but other than a minor blemish in the surface of each of the bowls we got, they seem to be quite sturdy and hopefully will last quite a while. We have gotten other brand bowls in the past that I have either leaked at the valve, so it overflowed, or the bowl itself slowly rusted out and I didn't feel good about making the dogs drink from it.The only reasons this one is a 4/5 star rating (rather than 5/5) is because of several minor issues. One is that it uses the same valve system to shut off as some other bowls we have tried, so it is likely the valve will get leaky overtime and work as good as it does new. I think it has to do with them being plastic and the little piece of rubber that it pushes against just kind of wears out over time. Fortunately/Unfortunately, we have learned that you can buy the valves/floats separately and replace them without too much difficulty. This however leads me to issue number two. There is a metal flap that covers the valve so the dogs don't try to attack it, but it has tiny a little nuts and bolts to hold this on. If you mount the bowl to a wall and then try to put the metal protector on afterward, it is very hard to access the connection spots and you WILL get frustrated. If you put the metal protector on first, you can't really access the holes to mount the bowl to the wall. If you do manage that, it is still very difficult to adjust the valves/floater arm to get the water level set because it is blocked by the metal shield.Hopefully by giving you this information before mounting, you folks can figure out a solution before having to deal with the frustration. 😉 The last issue SEEMS to be more cosmetic in that each of the bowls we received looked to have an isolated unfinished area. The defects were in different locations so I don't think it was a known manufacturer process thing, but as long as the stainless works, I don't care too much about variation to the otherwise smooth and polished appearing surfaces. Oops, one other bonus issue.... the parts, such as the tiny nuts and bolts, are in the bowl loosely in the plastic wrap. If the plastic wrap breaks, or if the buyer doesn't know to look for loose parts in the plastic, those little pieces could be lost and you not have everything you expect in the kit.Summary: Just a few little issues to tweak and this could be the perfect auto-water bowl, but for now it is still the best one we have found, so that is not bad at all.

Thought this was going to be more than what it is. Autofill is all plastic so dont keep this outdoors if the temps fall into the 30's. Second, the plug is also plastic and annoying as you will have to reach under the bowl to hold the piece under there in order to unscrew it. The one plug supplied has a tab on it. I can see my dogs chewing that off real quick. Lastly, there is not mounting hardware included so i couldnt set it up when i receive it. I had to go to the hardware store to purchase bolts to bolt this into the wall/fence. Not really thrilled with this product. Havent even hooked it up yet to see if any of the plastic will leak. Will add review if it does.
