This comfort adapter was recommended to us just in time by our trainer. We were about to throw in the towel with the e-collar all together because our dog kept getting hot spots from the standard prongs. Once we switched out with this adapter, we have not looked back! This seems to fit our dog much better and we have not had any hot spots since switching over. We have a golden/spaniel mix and he weighs about 30lbs. His hair is long, but this adapter still works well with his coat. I would highly recommend this item for all dogs that wear the e-collar on a regular basis.
