i purchased this product for the type of rope it has. This product has a rope that will be soft and flexible with a small amount of use. I have had these before. They allow the dog to run, and turn with very few tangles in the grasses and greenery. It is a must have for training "Fencing" or "quartering".

Actually the snap IS connected...with a knot. I've used these for years with lots of dogs. They're bomb-proof.
