Dokken's Dead Fowl Trainers -- Speckled Belly Goose

My 1 1/2 GSP/WEIM had a hard time with snows this season... Lacked confidence when approaching the birds. Ordered this bumper and BAM WE'RE IN BUSINESS! He hits it hard and has gained the confidence he needed to handle bigger birds! Excellent bumper, very sturdy material and floats !!

Helps dog learn how to carry a heavy awkward bird. I have duck and pheasant Dokkens as well. The goose is bigger and heavy like a real goose. Helpful for preparing for a goose retrieve.

Arrived quickly (good service!). This is a great training aid for my 1yr old lab. We have an abundance of geese in our area so gaining confidence in bringing in the heavy birds is a must.

Works great for dogs learning to pick up larger birds. The weight and overall size is great for training for those goose hunts. Using this decoy helped a lot when I sent my pup on his first Canada!!!!

My DL loves it. She is slowly learning how to pick up a big bird in the most efficient manner.

The Canada goose works good and is life like, but the rope that attaches to the head ripped off after 2 months.

Great product! Perfect for introducing your dog to start retrieving and getting the feel of a goose. Weight is spot on and the way the neck tapers down makes it easy for your dog to find the sweet spot for retrieves.

Definitely worth the money! Heavy duty and great size! My girl is on the smaller size, about 70lbs and it's a perfect training tool to get her used to the larger bodied bird!

I was using this decoy to scare geese from a pond used by a handicapped man. The geese were keeping the ducks from eating. It worked at first. I had tied 200 ft if string to the decoy...When the man, Dale, went to move the decoy he got caught in string and fell out of his electric wheelchair....so we can not use the decoy...

My dog is one, and he gets excited when I use the dead fowl trainers. It's true what the videos say. I have to keep mixing it up with bumpers as he will go for the trainers. The Canada goose challenges him to pick it up, but he loves it. So far no issues with durability.

Excellent for the young dog to learn to pick up larger birds. Excellent weight and size. First time to retrieve my dog had to figure it out. After that with a little extra effort he knew how to pick it up.

The weight of the goose dummy is very good for young dog. Also size is great. Gets them conditioned to pick up something bigger than dummy.

Due to the weight of the goose, the dog has to bite hard enough to carry. It penetrates the cover then absorbs water when doing water retrieve training. Otherwise a great training tool.
