COLLAR SIZING MADE EASY

These are NECK SIZE COLLARS which means the dog's measured neck size IS the collar size.

Measure Your Dog's Neck to ensure a proper fit.

  • Use a measuring tape, cloth tape, or a piece of string (and measure the string).
  • Measure your dog's neck where you want the collar to rest on the neck AND at the appropriate tightness.
  • Once you have a measurement, refer to the Guide below to find the appropriate size.
  • The neck size (NS) represents the measurement from the center of the buckle to the fourth adjustment hole.
  • You can adjust 1-inch longer or 3-inches shorter. Keep in mind that using the shorter adjustment holes will leave more collar strap extending past the buckle.

White, solid braid firm lay nylon rope with heavy bronze plated snap, secured with a bowline knot at snap. Stiffer than our standard "white nylon" check cord.

Great for Pointing Breeds, Retrievers, Show, Obedience or Family Dogs. Made of durable, flexible plastic.

We recommend wearing gloves when using the Wonder Lead. Always start with your Wonder Lead around the dog's head, directly behind the ears. For dogs that jump and pull on the Wonder Lead, place the loop under the ear next to you and over the opposite ear. Give tension and release. Repeat until the dog quits without a command. After your dog responds to the tension alone, combine the command with tension, then release. NEVER KEEP CONSTANT TENSION ON YOUR WONDER LEAD.

Wonder Lead bundle, Great Savings

I found a replacement for my Delmar Smith Wonder lead at Gundog Supply. They offered a package deal that included the Lead, check cord, and a engraved leather collar. Compared to purchasing separately, I saved 30%! Even with the engraving on the collar, it shipped the next day. Everything is great quality, and especially the stiff check cord. They are hard to find. Whatever I need to train or hunt my Brittany Tuck, Steve at Gun Dog Supply has the quality item I need!

The wonder lead and check cord I have absolutely zero negatives things to say. Both are awesome! The collar is what I tossed in the garbage after a day.. the way the buckle and 2 other metal loops are so close together make it very difficult to quickly hook up a leash or check cord and it’s very bulky in that area. If this set had a better designed collar, I would have given 5 stars. the name plate on the collar looked great, but I just couldn’t keep using it out of frustration.
