Fowl Dawgs with Rick Stawski Complete DVD Set

Rick Stawski is the best traning aid i have used !Period! Easy to understand, very well laid out approach!

Good so far have only watched a couple getting ready for new pup coming

I have had a lot of success with the Fowl Dawgs training DVD's. Rick does a great job of explaining what to do and why. You can take your retriever to as high a level as you want with these videos.I liked them so much, when I misplaced my original set I bought another. You see the training as it happens. All the good with the bad. No finished dogs in these training sessions. I highly recommend.

Great dvd for more advance training issues, but lacks on puppy training. It has been very helpful for getting through the more advanced training steps.

Stawski's Fowl Dawgs came recommended to me by several people, and I'm glad I bought it. I've been following it to train my first bird dog, who is a pointing lab. Aside from the fact that it was filmed sort of poorly, it has great content and Stawski lays it out really well. I think he failed to properly explain how to transition whistle sit into stopping on a whistle while the dog is running to pile, which caused me to go elsewhere for advice. But other than that it's been great. Can't really beat the price.

Recommended by a local pro and have gone through volume 1. It's seems to be a straight forward approach showing real life dogs being trained. Not fancy, but covers the topic well. I look forward to watching the whole series and applying the methods on my 4 month old pup.

These training videos are a great! Very easy to follow, and my lab is doing great and learning fast. My dog is 10 months old, and I will be starting the second training video soon.

Covers just about everything from A to Z!

Great DVD set! What I like the most is Rick shows the progression of the dogs through the drills. Rick does not perform the drills with a finished retriever. This DVD set also gives you the information to train your dog for field trials at a competitive level. Well done Rick!

An amateur with a little experience can bring their dog up to the HRCH/MH Level with Rick and a little help. VERY thorough and easy to understand and follow.

I find the instruction in these video's very thorough and easy to follow.

I have several videos on retriever training and this has been by far the set I have been refering to most. It takes you from beginning to a retriever capable of SH test and possibly some MH. The methods are very detailed and Rick presents methods for dealing with problems that may pop up along the way. He stresses methods that maintains a dogs momentum and happiness. One of my frustrations in the past with other videos and books is that they all seem to leave some part of a total program out. This set will get you the whole way from A-Z with a dog you can be proud of. I would not recommend it for someone just wanting a good ol hunting dog only, but if you have a little more than that planned for your dog then I would highly recommend it. The only reason I didnt give it five stars was the production level and video quality is less than I have seen in some of the others.
