I installed the new battery and it worked for week. The collar had a trace amount of water in it. Garmin said it would Cost $180 plus shipping to fix it. Not a good deal.

Garmin lion batery for my T5 collar

I put in my order and thinking it was going to take 7 plus days to get it and to my surprise due to slow mail on the fourth day it was at my door. Thanks to Gun Dog Supply for the fast service and not sending it in a large box like alot of other suppliers.

Easy to replace - fat fingers are a hinderance though

Fairly easy to replace the battery on my TT15 collar. I have a very small Phillips screwdriver. 6 screws the back comes off the collar, and three more screws the battery holder comes out. Here fat fingers are a hindrance but really not an issue. Two plugs to disconnect and reconnect and voila, your good for another 5-6 years.

My dogs collar has stopped holding a charge for the entire day. This could be risky as she spends a good bit of time outside, without supervision. The new battery didn't show up as charging all of the way. Contacted the sellers and they were helpful. Said to update both the handheld unit and collar. I was apprehensive that this would solve my problem, but sure enough it did. If you can't remember when you last updated, it's probably a good idea to do so when you purchase this.

The Garmin Collar (T15) is again working.I am glad the problem was just the battery. The old battery lasted 4 1/2 years.Remember: Be very careful with the gasket, when you take the collar apart. For the unit to be waterproof, the gasket must go back in exactly as before.Warning: If you mess up the gasket. Water will get into the unit. You will then have to buy a new collar.I did not have a problem. My hunting buddy did. He bought a new collar (about $300).Garmin Alpha 100, and collars are the BEST!Thanks, Boatman
