The GDS 2-Pole Holding Blind is made of durable heavy-weight 1000 D polyester fabric. The collapsible poles are steel with pointed ground spikes and stomp-steps for easy transport and setup. The blind cover material has pole sleeves and grommets with patches at the bottom for additional anchoring.

    • Assembly Instructions:

    1. Assemble all Poles -- Screw lower half of each pole into the upper half.
    2. Insert All Poles -- Insert each pole into one of the sewn pockets. Poles should go all the way into the pocket leaving material just above the crossbar. Be sure to insert all poles before placing your Blind.
    3. Install Blind in Ground -- Push each pole into ground in the desired location using your feet on the crossbars. Do not hammer crossbars. After each pole is secure move on to the next until all poles are set.
    4. Securing the Blind (OPTIONAL) -- In high wind situations you may want to secure the fabric to the poles. This may be done by wrapping a small bungee, zip tie, or cord around the post below the crossbars and then securing it to the fabric using the provided grommeted hole.
    5. Disassembly -- Reverse the above steps to disassemble the blind for transportation or storage if desired.

    The 8 ft holding blind has been a great addition to my training setup. I had concerns about the two piece poles, but this has proved to be a very sturdy set up. The post have 2 sided steps for sinking the post in the ground, they work great and are far better than the single sided ones. The blind material is sturdy and well sewn. I would highly recommend this holding blind to anyone.

    These blinds are extremly durable. The poles are steel and solid. The fabric is heavy duty with good protection for the poles. I use them here in Texas where the days can be very windy and in summer the dirt/clay more like concrete. They are holding up nicely!

    • Quailty is great.
    • During training, many times a 4 foot blind works well. But another 4 footer can be added quickly if needed.
    • The size is perfect to hide my Versa Launch Side-Kicks or my lab, Abbie.
    • Supplier, Gun Dog, is a great supplier to do business with.
    Cons
    • Overall weight is a little heavy if you have to manually carry them any distance, but, to me the quality is worth it.

    Sturdy. Well designed and constructed. Significant steel poles with pointed end and a crossbar for foot placement to push into the ground. Use it now for training my Versatile Hunting Dog (Wirehaired Pointing Griffon) for NAVHDA UT 'Steady-By-The-Blind' Sequence. We use in the future for actual Duck/Turkey Hunting Stationary Blind.

    Very impressed with the quality of these holding blinds so far, Heavy Cordura fabric, and love the blacked-out back of the blind. we use ours daily in training, set up is easy, rolling up and storage is great, and stay put in winds. I like the option of the grommets located at the bottom to attach ball bungees to that keep the poles from sliding out of the pockets as we leave our poles in the fabric pockets and don't have to worry about them sliding out anymore. They are doing the job for us! We have to rely on our equipment to hold up and not break, these holding blinds seem to be a product that will hold up to daily training for years to come so far.
