"Our dog loved hanging out in the car on her heating mat"
Family pet. Our dog loved hanging out in the car on her heating mat while we were working outside in the cold. In fact, we are going to order another so each car has one!

"I really do love it."
By: Krista DeRocher From WI
Yellow Lab. Family pet. I really do love it. I am a pet sitter in WI, and my dog goes along with me just about all day, every day. The warmer is the perfect size and I haven't had any issues with it or my car while having it plugged in. I am so glad I bought it!

"All three pads work great."
By: Keith Maready From NC
Hunts. Competes. Placed under mats in three hole box for the cold wet times and cold nights in box while traveling. All three pads work great. Dogs are family members and live in our home, but are comfortable in the box with the warming pads when necessary.

"We have used it 5 nights and it's working great."
By: Jodi Norris From AZ
Family pet. We have used it 5 nights and it's working great. We have a little short-haired guy who couldn't camp because of getting cold. You can really see the difference in the morning between a shivering cold dog and a happy comfortable dog! We put this in his kennel, folded so that half of it goes up the back of the kennel and half is on the bottom. We also strung an old down vest across the inner top of the kennel (using the vent holes to tie it) to keep the top of him warm. The timer works well, and for us 106 degrees was a good setting. We were a little concerned about getting the temperature set too hot so we made sure he had some room in the kennel to get off of it if needed. Camping temperatures were in the mid 40s. We use one of those car-jump-starter type batteries to power it overnight and it drew so little power that I think we could have gotten 4 nights off of it (we recharged every couple of nights to make sure it was ready for all uses). For camping the 12 volt plug is key, this is the only I found with that feature. Also shipped fast (we needed it quickly). Thanks!

Competes. One of the two I bought is not heating well. The other is just fine. If I can't figure it out I will write or call.

Family pet. When I first plug it in, the display says 00 and buttons do not work for a good 8-10 minutes. Then the base temp shows up and buttons start working. Is this common?

Whether you use it in your dog crate, dog trailer, or even your back seat, your dog will enjoy the Hound Warmer Waterproof Heating Pad -- during overnight stays at hotels, travel during cold fall and winter days, or after a chilly duck or pheasant hunt. It's also great for a cold duck boat or as a heated seat in your deer stand! Once plugged into your vehicle's 12 volt outlet or cigarette lighter, it quickly reaches 105-108 degrees F and will maintain that temperature until unplugged.
The Hound Warmer only draws 18 watts of power (1.5 amps), so you can safely use it all night long with a typical vehicle battery. In really cold weather, if your battery is old or weak, the manufacturer recommends using a marine battery as an alternative power source.
NOTE: The Hound Warmer doesn't get hot to the touch like a traditional heating pad. It is a warming pad designed to keep your dog comfortable while traveling or overnight without using a lot of energy. Leaving the pad in the open air will allow the heat to dissipate. When your dog lays on the pad the trapped heat will build up to a veterinary recommended temperature of 110 degrees.
Dimensions: 11" x 22"
Input power: 18W, 1.5A
12V cord length: 9 ft.
110VAC adapter cord length: 8 ft.
Power Options: The Hound Warmer can be powered in a vehicle by connecting the 12V plug into the cigarette lighter or with 110VAC using the included adapter.
Cleaning and Maintenance: After use, wipe the pad with a damp cloth and allow to dry. Do not submerse in water. Check pad periodically for damage.
