Bought this kennel after reviewing others like it. This kennel was just what I needed and was several hundred dollars less than a leading competitor, and had more interior room. Love the handles on top and the powder coated tie down metal. The door is amazing and locks with and without a key. Dogs are very comfortable. I got fast service, a great price and free shipping from Gun Dog Supply. The leading competitor wanted to charge an extra shipping charge for their unit. Couldnt be happier with my purchase.

Solid transport kennel and made to last.

I have an ever-growing lab and needed a great travel kennel that would fit in my truck with my drawer and truck cap setup. This one fits (a bit tight) but once it is in and secured it works great. I am still finalizing the setup but so far, I have been extremely impressed. The build quality is great, and it is much lighter than the equivalent Gunner kennel. I am very pleased with this Kennel. I have a 45lb 9-month female GSP who fits inside the intermediate size perfectly, with the padding. I assume my dog will gain 10 lbs over the next year, and this kennel will still work great. The door opens and closes easily. It's light enough to move easily. I wanted a kennel my wife could also move easily. It's strong, well built, and looks great. Easy to spray out and dries out fast. It fits great in the trunk of my SUV. It does not fit in the trunk of my wife's Suburu Forester without the back seat down. It will fit sideways in the back of the Suburu Forester trunk but then it's challenging to get the dog in-out. For medium to large SUVs, it will fit properly. My dog can not sit-up perfectly straight in this intermediate kennel but I wanted a shorter kennel height so my rear view vision was not blocked. But my dog is comfortable and lays down when traveling which is the safe proper position for traveling. Great purchase. Great shipping. One of my favorite gear items. Thanks.

Everything I have bought from Gun Dog Supply has been excellent. This Kennel is no exception. I really like the ability to secure it in the truck bed easily and bring it in at night. The rubber feet keep the kennel from scratching the wood floors too.

I had been wanting a 5-star crash rated kennel for my vehicle for some time. I was initially swayed by the fancy marketing of another highly-rated kennel, despite my intuition that the Lucky Duck would be better. By now, I should have learned that Gun Dog Supply should ALWAYS be my first stop for all my dog needs! The Lucky Duck is sturdy, in one solid piece, but light enough for anyone to pick up and carry. The Bizzy Bed crate pad fits perfectly. All this for less than the cost of that other kennel—and with FREE shipping! Gun Dog Supply always ships fast and has the best customer service. The peace of mind this gives me for my guy as we travel around the east coast to dog shows is worth the price. For reference, my dog is 55lbs, 23' at the shoulder and 36' long. For vehicle use a snugger fit is safer so the intermediate was just right. My dog room to turn around but if he were any taller I would need the large. I drive a 2019 Crosstrek, which has 28' of clearance in the hatch, and this kennel fits perfectly with the rear seats folded down.

For our American Labrador Retriever, Shelby, we originally purchased a GUNNER Kennel, thinking it was "the best." But 3 problems with it - it is too tall to fit into my F-150 that has a camper shell and a DECKED bed kit in it (I only have a 25.5" high opening); with its double-wall construction, the interior space inside the kennel is SMALLER than the Lucky Duck; and it comes in 2 pieces and you have to assemble it - that's a pain in the rear! We gave our GUNNER Kennel to our favorite gun dog trainer and then bought the Lucky Duck. It's right at 25" high so it fits perfectly in my F-150 and in our VW Passat Station wagon. Its single-wall construction is built like a tank! Shelby has more room inside and it's a bit lighter than the GUNNER kennel so it's easier to move around. The lock and the latches work great. The only thing we would change is it's nice to have a plate with our dog's name engraved on it that we can put on the door of the kennel which the GUNNER offers and Lucky Duck does not. But we will probably pull off the Lucky Duck badge on the front and have a plate custom engraved for our dog, Shelby. Thanks for selling us a GREAT kennel for our dog Shelby!

I have owned many crates over the years, including several I still use. The Lucky Duck Kennel is the best overall in my opinion. One-piece molding, durability, lightweight, ease of cleaning - all make this a fantastic kennel. It is premium priced, but not the most expensive molded kennel on the market. Given high marks for design, quality, and cost, this is the best kennel I have owned. I would recommend it to all.

The lucky dog kennel is great! Keeps my hunting partner safe, comfortable, and warm. Best of the big kennels. The cover is waterproof, unlike its competitor.

Great combo. My British lab has plenty of room and is comfortable. The mat has plenty of cushion and very durable material. The kennel fits perfectly in second row floorboard of my 4 door Ford 150.

I purchased the Lucky Duck Intermediate kennel crate with a Mud River cover and pad. This is exactly what I needed and the workmanship of the crate is great. The Mud River cover as recommended by Gun Dog fits perfect and has many features that I was suprised it had. You can take everything from bumpers to boxes of shells and much more with this great design. I also really like the design of the door on the crate. It is very secure and will protect my dog from accident and mishap. My thanks goes out to all that have a part in this product.

I purchased the intermediate size kennel for my German Wirehaired Pointer which was the size recommended by Lucky Duck. My dog is 57 lbs, 36 inches long, and 25 inches tall. She fits fairly comfortable but the kennel could be a little taller. If my dog was any taller I would probably need the large kennel or a different brand that is taller. In my research I found that Lucky Duck was one of the shorter kennels for the intermediate size.

Solid as advertised. 65 pound dog fits in intermediate well. A little heavy due to quality construction.

I have a 6 month old puppy that is currently 50 lbs and will grow to about 75 lbs as an adult. This is the perfect crate for him to grow into while travelling safely in the car (I drive a Chevy Bolt and strapped the crate in to the rear seat's lower anchor - just an FYI that it takes up 2.5 seats in the rear for me). It has enough slats in the crate for my dog to breath and see through while retaining all of the debris that clings and falls off of his wirecoat in the crate. It's easy to clean, easy enough to get in the car, keeps my pup comfortable and safe, and the crate pad is also great. I bought this over the Gunner Kennel crate because this is cheaper and just as safe, but also the sizing is a bit better for my dog (slightly longer and wider, and little shorter).

Just as advertised- well made, good looking kennel and less than 40lbs! Door latch lock system is very sturdy and easily reversed. I would highly recommended the Lucky Duck Kennel to anyone, this kennel will last and handle whatever abuse you put it through. Was debating between the Gunner kennel and the Lucky Duck and lighter weight and lower $$ made the decision pretty easy.

To be honest, this was a purchase I struggled to make. $500 for a kennel that I wasn't sure was even a fit for my dog had me questioning whether I wanted to do it. I called Gun Dog customer service and the rep was very helpful in answering my questions. I'm glad I decided to buy it. My lab fits in it fine and this kennel is built like a tank. I like the tie-down points and the door with the latches and lock are well-designed. The Bizzy Bed fits perfectly. The kennel isn't small but still fits just fine in the back of our family's SUVs.

I?ve always gone cheap on kennels with my previous dogs and complained about how bad they were. Well, with my new pup, I decided to go big. I chose the Lucky Duck because of the slightly wider stance compared to other kennels I shopped. I thought it gave it a more stable appearance. I was right. Coupled with the rubber feet, this thing will not budge in the back of my truck. The one-piece construction is solid, the tie-downs are a great addition. This clearly will be the only kennel I?ll need for many, many years.

This kennel has worked perfect for me. I usually leave the kennel in my truck for hauling the dog to the lake or to a field for training. Sometimes we need a kennel in our car for various reasons and the portability of this kennel makes it so easy to move. I have had no quality issues and so far, it has been very durable.
