These are NECK SIZE COLLARS which means the dog's measured neck size IS the collar size.

Measure Your Dog's Neck to ensure a proper fit.

Use a measuring tape, cloth tape, or a piece of string (and measure the string).
Measure your dog's neck where you want the collar to rest on the neck AND at the appropriate tightness.
Once you have a measurement, refer to the Guide below to find the appropriate size.
The neck size (NS) represents the measurement from the center of the buckle to the third adjustment hole.
You can adjust 2-inches longer or 2-inches shorter. Keep in mind that using the shorter adjustment holes will leave more collar strap extending past the buckle.

This beautiful collar is a testament to good workmanship. As a horsewoman I am very picky about leather goods for my animals' comfort and safety. This collar is beautifully made with sturdy leather that is still supple (and gets softer with use) and heavy duty brass fittings (not brass plated). I have no doubt it will last for years. The fact that the custom brass plate came installed and was delivered within a week was a huge factor in my choosing this collar and when (or if) it needs to be replaced, I will order again from Snell's Gun Dog Supply. Their attention to detail and good quality shines both in the products and customer service.

These are really well made (in America) collars. I'm on my 4th beagle now. This one is by far, the "beagle-iest". She is the sweetest 34 pound dog, but when she picks up a scent, look-out! Off we go on some caper. She is relentless. I should have named her Columbo. She doesn't give up until whatever it was she was chasing, made its escape; up a tree, in a hole, or out into space. I don't know where all her strength and determination comes from, but this collar holds up to the constant pull when she drags me around. Actually this collar holds up better than me. She pulls so hard that my back is sore a lot of the time.

These collars from Gun Dog Supply are great. They look good, they are quality and they are sold at a price you can't beat. What I like best is the tag on the collar and it's actually engraved. The letters are stamped into the metal tag. Not printed on like other collars. Or scratched on with a light laser that will rub off over time. These letters are there for good. Also, I have an 110 pound Lab and an 10 pound Min Pin, I was able to order them both the same collar, I like that I could get them matching collars. Another plus is the shipping time. I think the collars arrived 3 days after I ordered them and from across the country. I'm telling you if you're looking for a quality collar for your pup this is the place to buy. I don't see any reason for buying anywhere else. I won't!

I had to give him a bath after playing with the knubby dummy( which he looks forward to doing everyday) and his collar was off while he was drying.Well, he kept poking at it with his nose until I put it back on him. The 3/4-in is much better for his neck/size. It really looks classy and it came very quickly and looks like very good quality. My neighbor noticed it and was wondering what it said and thought it was the greatest idea to have your info on it and she said it looked really nice as well.

Wanted either a size bigger in the 3/4" or a size smaller in the 1" because our german shorthaired pointer measures 13.5". Went with the 3/4" thinking it might stretch some. So far so good unless we get a growth spurt. It really has a classy look and we have purchased the mendota before and know the superior quality. Gun dog supply carries an excellent selection and put the brass plate on at our request. Thanks all around good service and products available!

I have used this type of collar from Gundog for years. It is comfortable for the dog. It looks great. It holds up forever. I got a puppy size collar for my new GSP and 8 months later a larger size. I really appreciate the engraved name plate with phone numbers, address, and name. I do not like tags draping down from the collar. I am able to use it in Performance Trials. I have had dogs for 51 years and I have never found a better collar.

Nice but my dog got a rash

It's a nice collar, but my dog got a rash where the name plate sits. The collar fit her perfectly (just loose enough on the middle hole), so their sizing is spot on, but the metal name plate literally goes to the edges of the 3/4' collar and was rubbing her neck. I'm not sure HOW it was rubbing her neck, as it wasn't tight, but she was losing fit where that name plate typically sat and she started to get sores. Very weird.
