Dog 1 Skunk 0 Now what to do about the skunk smelling dog
October 26, 2025
Great Stuff to have on hand when the Dog gets into it with a skunk. The Skunk loses but the dog needs to be de-odorized if he wants to come back into the house within the next few weeks. And that's where the Odormute comes in. After a good bath and an hour or so soaking in this brew it is safe to let him in the house. If he rubs up against the furniture lt will not leave any skunk odor. We keep a supply on hand for those times when the Skunks come out to play with the Dog. Don't know where they come from since we live in a large city away from the great outdoors, but they are here. Since it is a powder it doesn't go bad on the shelf we can keep a supply on hand for when it is needed without it going bad sitting on the shelf. The Skunks don't keep 9-5 business hours, unless it's 9 pm - 5am, so this is handy to have available at whenever the skunk strikes. Just mix a box in a gallon of warm water and your off to de-odorizing the dog.

Odormute really works!
February 20, 2021
I have used odormute for years. When my dog was sprayed by a skunk and had to be transported in my car with cloth seats, odormute removed the stench even after I used several other products, as well as from my dog and my very long hair. Only one application was necessary. It rained for 3 days after cleaning my car & there wasn't even a hint of skunk. We also had a problem with neighbourhood cats using my flower beds as their toilet, so we sprayed it with odormute. The enzymes made it impossible for the cats to smell any residual ordour & the problem quickly disappeared. Finally, my brother was a stationary engineer/ general contractor and was hired to do maintenance on a couple of thousand apartments. When there was a sewage backup in one building, he used odormute to get rid of the offending smell. My whole family is extremely impressed with this product. If the smell is an organic source, odormute will get rid of it.
