1. Place cover upside down on flat surface (preferably on a table or floor).
2. Slide one long side bar through each long sewn "tunnel." (If assembling a square cot, all rails will be the same size).
3. Slide one short end bar through the short sewn "tunnel."
4. Insert square ends of the short end bar into plastic legs opening. You will hear a click, indicating that it is inserted completely.
5. Insert square ends of the long side bar into plastic legs opening. You will hear a click, indicating that it is inserted completely.
6. IMPORTANT: Pull the cover towards the open end, taking up the excess slack.
7. Insert square ends of remaining short end bar into remaining plastic legs opening. You will hear a click, indicating that it is inserted completely.
8. Lay short end bar with inserted plastic legs on top of the flap of the cover and insert one of the plastic leg opening into the square long side bar only 1/4". Now insert the other plastic leg opening into the other square long side bar only 1/4". (Insert both ends only 1/4", otherwise the cot won't assemble properly).
9. Stand cot upright with flap of cover on flat surface and with both hands grab top of cot in both corners and pull down. This will ensure the rails are in the legs completely.
10. Lay cot flat and place the cover flap over the short end bar then lace the cord through the closest eyelet on flap, then across to the eyelet on the strip, back through the eyelet on the flap, etc., pulling tightly as you are lacing it. (If you don't pull the lace tight as you are lacing, the lace may not be long enough to complete the assembly). Tie off in a knot.
11. If you have purchased the optional cot leg tips and/or cot leg plugs, please see opposite side for instructions on how to put them on your cot.

My Go To Bed

I am a dog trainer and a company I work with has always used these beds, so when it came to making a decision for my own dog, it was a no-brainer. It's a good place to work on mental stimulation, impulse control, and a calm state of mind, which is hard to obtain with a bird dog. Gun Dog Supply offers these beds at a low price and they throw in a free training dvd! So cool.

Very Sturdy

Very sturdy cot that supports my 100+ pounds puppy! He is currently doing training and I use the cot as his 'place'. I watched the online video to assemble and was surprised how easy it was to put together.

As I put the material down to begin assembly, one of my dogs immediately started rolling on it. She loved it when I finished assembly! It's easy to assemble, other than having to pull REALLY HARD to stretch the material at one point. But I got it done. Not as strong as I used to be :-)) Non-slip feet, which I really like, as one of the dogs loves to launch herself across the room, landing on the bed and then rolling on her back. If you buy this you will not be disappointed.

Sturdy & comfy!

I ordered this because our dog trainer coach suggested it as one of the best. I'm not sure how the others rate, but this one is great! I have a 65 lb shepherd mix and she can lay on it comfortably. It will take at least 140 lbs of weight without damage (I stood on it) but I wouldn't push it too far past that. Assembly is a snap if you take the time to watch the video provided on the Gun Dog Supply site. A couple of the tips really saved me some time ;) The light weight makes it easy to move around, and it hoses off quite nicely. I would (and have) definitely recommend this dog cot!

The place cots were super easy to put together. I think instructions were provided but I didn't read them because I'm a man.The dogs took to them immediately. They are comfortable and don't mind being in the place command for extended periods of time.

I purchased the do cart to reinforce training my dog, Ogbo, recently completed. It easy to assemble. Beacuse it is light weight, it is easy move to and from storage.

Great & Sturdy!

I bought these 2 large & 1 small beds for my 2 German Shepherds & British lab. I did not buy these for training purposes as their ages are almost 8 yrs, 1.5 yrs, & 4.5 years. I bought these to get our dogs off the concrete patio on those cold days & nights in east TX. I ordered these right after Christmas. It took them a couple days to use them but now they do. The British lab is a petite 62 lbs. The GSD puppy is 84 lbs. The 4.5 year old GSD is 123 lbs & the large has been sturdy enough for him. Excuse the red dirt on my house in the pics. The lab rolls around in the dirt then rubs along the house.

We purchased two cots upon the recommendation of a trainer who recently worked with our two GSPs on e-collar training. These cots are lightweight and easily moved for cleaning, and ideal for placement in our family room. We added a cushion on top of them for the boys' comfort (spoiled dogs). Gun Dog Supply sent them very quickly after ordering and the price was excellent.

I was expecting something more flimsy than what I got. This bed is sturdy and built to last. Assembly was simple and quick. Just watch the privide video before your package arrives asks you'll have it together in less than five minutes. I am using this to help train my young boykin spaniel. I definitely recommend this one. If you are not stacking multiples for storage, get the plugs for the leg holes.

My lab sleeps and or relaxes on this elevated bed all the time, he loves them. Unfortunately, all of the previous beds (other brands) I've purchased have broken down and fell apart way before their time. Not this one! It's built like a tank. Very stable with durable materials and easy to assemble. Thumbs up.

The 4Legs4Pets Dog Cot is a great product. It is Commercial Grade and Durable. This was actually the second Cot just like this that we have purchased from Gun Dog Supply. The first one, we will continue to use inside and this one we will use outside and on camping excursions. Our 7 mounth old 65 lb Golden Retriever (Field Variety) loves the cot. It has him up off the ground, keeps him cooler and cradles his lanky body.Highly recommend.

Great for my xl double-coated LGD! Air can circulate all around and from underneath to help keep her comfortable, especially in the warmer months. We have two of these. They hold up great in the weather!

Fantastic Dog "Place"

Our trainer recommended this for our puppy as her "place" for when we're working, cooking, etc. I like the size of it, as it's very portable and fits everywhere. Our dog is about 30 lbs, and our larger 40lb dog also fits. It was straightforward to assemble and arrived quickly. Huge fan!
