I use a a field mat, or I've been using as mat for dog to lay on for ice fishing. It's help up to some pretty bad conditions and helped keep pup warm.

I purchased two. They are of very good quality. Heavy-duty fabric. Being new, my 60lb setter had to put his to the test. His heavy scratching didn't do any damage to the fabric. A good quality zipper. The only way to improve the crate cushion IMO is if it had a flap over the zipper, but not significant enough an issue to quibble.

This is a tough crate pad. My huskies love to chew, but they level this alone.

Wonderful crate pad, washable fabric with dense supportive pad. Our dogs are a bit reactive, so they do displace the pads towards the front of their crates. I am looking to modify them with the ability to hold them firmly to the crate bottom.Overall very nice product

Purchased this because my dog had pressure sores on his elbows from his crate tray. Sores cleared up within 2 weeks of having this. I was worried because he digs quite intensely at his crate tray but this pad has held up to all of his digging! Would totally recommend and would purchase another one in a heartbeat.

These crate cushions are a good quality product, and they normally last a reasonable time; however, as others have commented, they do not stand up to being chewed on tenaciously by determined dogs. We've had six of these cushions, in four different crates, but one of our dogs has developed a passion for the foam inside. My best advice on this chewing issue is to secure the cushion to the crate as best as possible, and with the zippered edge in the most inaccessible position (for the dog). As others have noted, I think a more durable, closed-cell type of foam would be a good product enhancement. An alternative would be a thicker and more durable plastic cover for the foam pad inside the outer cover; the thin plastic inner cover can leak water from a wet dog into the foam pad. (I do remove wet crate cushions as quickly as possible to allow them to dry.)
