Blaze Orange Nylon Dog Boots -- Set of 4

Blaze Nylon Dog Boots — Set of 4

"This is one product I never hunt without." — Steve Snell

You never know what the environment is going to throw at your dog's feet — sand spurs, rocks, ice, brush, or a cut pad you didn't see coming. Blaze Nylon Dog Boots are lightweight, easy to carry, and tough enough to protect your dog's feet when it counts.

Steve keeps a set in the back of his vest on every trip. They're light enough to forget they're there, and inexpensive enough that losing one in heavy cover isn't a big deal. Easy-on Velcro strap means no taping required — you can boot a dog right in the field without missing a beat.

    Features:

    • Rip-stop 500 denier nylon top, same material used in our Sylmar dog vests
    • Double-ply bottom with an additional layer of 1000 denier Cordura nylon for added durability
    • Easy-on Velcro strap fastener — no taping needed
    • Also good for sore feet and protecting injured pads
    • Sizes: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large

    Sizing:

    Small -- up to 2 3/8"W
    Medium -- up to 2 3/4"W
    Large -- up to 3"W
    X-Large -- up to 3 3/8"W

    Measuring:

Measure your dog's foot to make sure your Dog Boots are the right size. Place your dog's foot on a piece of paper and press down on the top of it, mimicking how the foot spreads when he is walking. Mark the left and right sides of his foot on the paper and measure the distance between the marks. Compare this to the boot sizes. The width of his foot should be smaller than the boot size. For example, if his foot width is 2", order a Small boot at 2 3/8".

Not intended for use on pavement or concrete. Blaze Boots are made of nylon and are lightweight and extremely tough. Use to protect your dog's feet from rocks, burrs, and brush. These boots are easier to put on and take off but are not as durable as rubber boots.

Steve Says: Blaze Orange Nylon Dog Boots

This is one product I never hunt without.

I don't like booting dogs. I want a dog with tough, conditioned feet that can handle the pressure I put on them.

But here's the thing: you never know what the environment is going to throw at your dog's feet.

It might be a patch of sand spurs that stops him cold in Texas or the Dakotas. It might be a rock, a piece of glass, or wire buried in a field you've hunted a hundred times with no problem. You can hunt a spot for five years and never have an issue, then show up on year six and something's changed. That's just the nature of it — you don't always get a warning.

That's why I keep a set of Blaze Nylon Dog Boots in the back of my vest, every trip. They're light enough I forget they're there. Cheap enough that losing one in heavy cover doesn't bother me. And if I'm a mile from the truck when the ground turns into a problem, I don't have to turn around — I just boot up and keep hunting.

I don't just use these for emergencies, either. Early season, hard multi-day trips, a dog that's prone to sore or blown pads — I'll boot the whole trip just to keep feet fresh enough to hunt harder and longer.

Why I keep a set in every vest:

    • Tough ripstop 500-denier nylon — same material we use in our Sylmar vests
    • Easy-on Velcro strap, no taping required
    • Protects against rocks, glass, brush, sand spurs, and sore or injured pads
    • 4 sizes: Small, Medium, Large, X-Large
    • Cheap enough to always carry a spare set

Having boots on hand is cheap insurance against a ruined trip. It's the difference between a great day in the field and one that ends early.
