Definitely get the plugs when you purchase the cot. I wanted to be sure my Standard Poodle's safety so he wouldn't get a foot caught in the openings.Just be sure to press them down hard until they click in tight.

These plugs 'finish' the cot but should be included in the cot purchase. Without them an animal could easily accidentally step into the hole and injure themselves.Unfortunately one of the plugs came out and I can not seem to find it?
