Got this heated water bowl for the outside critters. Winters in Ohio make finding water difficult for our wildlife visitors, and this heated bowl just make life a little easier on them. Bowl works great and keeps the water from freezing. Item was received very quickly, was packed well and priced fairly. Gun Dog Supply customer service is top notch..friendly, knowlegeable and responded quickly to my questions. Will check Gun Dog first from now on for any pet related needs I have.

Actually it is a better heated waterer for our chickens than any chicken waterer on the market. Too bad it doesn't have a removable SS bowl, but I use a smaller diameter SS bowl and place that inside the water-filled dog waterer. Haven't used it in sub-zero temps yet, but for sub-freezing temps, so far, OK!

Wish the bowl could be removed separately from heating element, as I like to clean even the stainless bowls, both water and feed bowls. But I must say it works wonderfully, and I don't have to break ice for my outside, even down to 11 below 1 night so far this week.
