SportDOG TEK 1.5 Menus and Screens

The upper button on the right side of the Tek Handheld Transceiver takes you to the Main Menu screen. The Main Menu is where you access all of the settings and options to control your SportDOG TEK GPS / Remote training collar. This guide will go through each menu option and explain what they do and how they work.

Once you are in the Main Menu page, you move back and forth between the options using the "arrow pad" on the front of the handheld.

Dog Tracking

The first listing on the Main Menu is "Dog Tracking." When this option is highlighted, you move the arrow key to the right to move you to the Dog Tracking Screen.

The second choice on the menu is "Dog Training." When this option is highlighted, you move the arrow key to the right to move you to the Dog Training Screen.

Dog List

The third selection is "Dog List." The Dog list shows all of the dog profiles that you have running on active collars. The Dog List allows you the option of "Suspending" a dog and it is where you can also change the order that dogs are listed on the tracking screen.

Next on the main menu is "Status." The Status screen is where you can check the ID numbers on each of your dogs, their last Communication with the handheld, GPS signal strength, GPS update rate time and the battery life of each collar.

The next selection is the digital compass. From the Compass screen you can "Go to Start", "Go to Point" and Calibrate your compass.

 (9)The sixth selection on the main menu is "Settings." The Settings menu is where you make the majority of the choices about your collars and your handheld options.

The way points menu allows you the option of marking a location and naming it. When you want to track back to this location you can select the "way point" in the compass screen and it will give you the direction and distance to go to your marked location.

Set Start Point

To set your starting location, highlight the word "Set Start Point" and press the right arrow key. A warning message will appear that tells you that resetting your starting point will clear the previous location. You can only have one "Start Point" at a time. Use your up and down arrow key to select yes or no.

About

The About screen will list the Hardware version, the Software Version, The handheld ID and the name of the handheld. Highlight the word "About" and press the right arrow key to view the information. Press the left arrow key to return to the Main Menu.
