Family pet. Slipped right on (once I figured it out) and stayed on (once I figured it out). Nice shoes. I've only used the front so far, and she had no problem getting use to them. We're using them to stabilize an older dog who is not sure on her feet. I think they help, and I think she likes them, no fuss about it. Very well made shoes!

"The bark n boots have impressed me mostly because of their longevity."
By: Steven Hintzel From TX
Hunts. Competes. I've tried every boot on the market with the exception of the Lewis boot, which I've never considered because I believe them too heavy, and I've had friends who used them with bad experiences. The bark n boots have impressed me mostly because of their longevity. Sure you pay more upfront, but the other boots on the market my dogs would literally run holes through in a couple of hours. These boots last for several trips not just hours. I can't speak for the ability to turn cactus, my dogs are experienced enough to avoid running through that stuff, but keeping my dogs feet in good shape while running for hours and days across rough sharp rock while being light weight, so not to cause unnecessary fatigue. Well, I don't believe there is a better boot out there.

Family pet. Great product. Great customer service and quick delivery. Boots are really easy to put on. My 12 1/2 year old Black Lab loves them. The instructions on the website and description of the product are great. Thank you so much.

The rear boots seem to twist on the feet, so that the tread portion is on the top of the foot. They stayed on well and did a good job protecting against the soybean stubble which have cut pads badly in past.

It's 50/50 with this brand of boot. I have been using this brand of boot for three years now. Sometimes the Velcro straps are good, and sometimes they are not! Overall, the boot is a great idea as long as the Velcro is good. If not, the boots are absolutely useless, and I would have to send the boots back and get replacements. Like I said, it is 50/50 with the boot company...

We duck in a marsh that has some very sharp reeds. After a very pad puncture wound I was trying to buy some protection. I put them on according to Steve's video and let him run in the yard to get use to them. The blind was icy, and the plastic pads on the boot gave him no traction. He was stumbling and falling all over the blind. I had to take the boots off and am returning them.

Grip Trex feature two major advancements in dog boots -- an upper portion inspired by human shoes and a high-performance Vibram sole. Built on an anatomical mold just like human shoes, the boot's upper maintains a consistent size, shape, and fit. The design and construction ensure the boots are easy to put on, easy to secure, provide continued comfort, and stay on your dog's paws. For the sole, Ruff Wear partnered with Vibram to develop the Grip Trex design which provides unequaled grip, traction, durability, and performance. Together, these two advancements produce a completely revolutionary dog boot from top to bottom. Plus, Grip Trex boots have a Knew-tec synthetic pigskin interior grip cuff to help keep them on your dog's paws.
1. Superior Traction -- Non-marking Vibram sole with a multi-directional, flexible lug design
2. Secure Fit -- Adjustable closure strap for a custom fit
3. Mud Guard -- Enhances fit and long-term durability
4. Reflective -- 3M reflective trim adds low-light visibility
5. Breathable Upper -- Tightly woven air mesh top keeps dirt and debris out while providing superior ventilation
Sizing and Measuring Your Dog's Paws:
Measuring your dog's paws is crucial to getting a proper fit. Grip Trex are built to secure around the ankle but below the carpal pad. The boot should have room in the paw area, allowing the paw to spread when bearing weight. Size is based on paw width, not length.
Sizes Available: 2.0", 2.25", 2.5", 2.75", 3.0", and 3.25"
In-Between Sizes: Choose the larger boot for comfort and performance
