For those of you who prefer the look and soft feel of leather but worry about water and odor absorption, this collar is the answer! These collars have superior strength and durability, high resistance to fading, moisture and odor absorption. They have an embossed surface for a very elegant look and are soft to the touch and provide a very comfortable grip. Your dog will appreciate the soft texture as well. The collars are constructed with spread rivets and nickel-plated hardware. These collars are made with a conway buckle, center-ring "safety" ring, and dee ring. Made in the USA.

COLLAR SIZING MADE EASY

These are NECK SIZE COLLARS which means the dog's measured neck size IS the collar size.

Measure Your Dog's Neck to ensure a proper fit.

  • Use a measuring tape, cloth tape, or a piece of string (and measure the string).
  • Measure your dog's neck where you want the collar to rest on the neck AND at the appropriate tightness.
  • Once you have a measurement, refer to the Guide below to find the appropriate size.
  • The neck size (NS) represents the measurement from the center of the buckle to the third adjustment hole.
  • You can adjust 2-inches longer or 2-inches shorter. Keep in mind that using the shorter adjustment holes will leave more collar strap extending past the buckle.

One been ordering this collar for over 20 years. The D-ring collar in hunter-orange does everything we need. The brass name plate is perfect and we’ve never had it break off or become difficult to read. And because we live on a ranch that doesn’t have cell coverage, there is enough room for two phone numbers. I have found the following information layout works for us:

These collars are great- the center ring makes hooking up simple, the material its made from does not hold scent or get nasty like leather, its soft and pliable and never really seems to irritate the dogs neck.

Another great collar fro Gun Dog Supply! The center ring collar is a great safety feature..even though we are not hunting, Jeter is always romping through the woods. The collar is extremely durable, yet soft, it doesn’t stink after swimming, and the orange makes it easy to see him. I also love the brass tag on the collar…the regular dog tags always end up falling off.

We purchased collars for our chocolate and yellow labs. Went with the orange as we pheasant hunt and there’s a lot of deer hunting surrounding our land. Love the material that is not plastic or leather but does have that feel of leather making it easier to stay clean. The 1” wide collar gives plenty of room for the brass plate with our phone numbers and city/state stamped on it. The sizing information made it easy to order the correct size. We definitely very happy (as our labs are) with them and would purchase again.

Great Water Dog Collar

I do water work with my Dainty Drahthaar, “Drika” and Wirehairded Pointing Griffon, “Desmond”
at least once a day and they swim for fun as well. Swapped my favorite Gun Dog Supply leather collars for the “DURASOFT” collars for their water resistance. My Drat developed an allergy to the leather preservatives I was using to keep the real leather supple and protected. No problems with the DURASOFT collars.

I bought this collar after seeing it on my daughter’s dog. Looks and feels like real leather, but is longer lasting and smell resistant. The engraved info is riveted on securely, and the collar is very sturdy, yet pliable enough for comfort for my golden!

Looks like leather without the stink

I really like the look of traditional leather colors but it doesn't take long for them to stink. This one looks and feels very much like leather, so much so that my wife thought I bought the wrong one at first. Only improvement that I would suggest is brass hardware. That's the only thing that looks different than the leather ones.
