    I have tried using the cheap bells from Cabelas and other places where I could find them. One of them broke and neither gave me good audible tracking of my dog while afield, even when I had them both on. This bell is durable and gives me a good clear indication of where the dog is even in the thick grouse cover of northern Michigan.

    Great bells. Annoyingly loud but that's the point, isn't it? Definitely get them with the loop. Its dual functionality has proven equally effective in both keeping an ear on your dog in the woods from great distances AND waking up kids before school.

    I purchased this for my lab so I could keep track of him in thick cover. The bell sounds great and I can hear it a ways into the woods. As far as quality I love the nickel finish and it appears to be holding up to the abuse of a few hunts so far. This was exactly what I needed.

    Quality bell but takes my dog some getting used to due to loudness.

    Good construction but my pup stays still when he wears it. Not wanting to run around since it’s quite loud. Might actually hurt his ears. Seems to distract him.

    • Color is a bit on the cheap side for the price. Bell is too loud and could hurt my dogs ears.
